About Philippine Minimum Wage 2026
Minimum wage in the Philippines is set by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards (RTWPBs) under the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC). Each region has its own minimum wage rate, and rates may vary further by city, municipality, and industry classification.
Several regions have new wage increases taking effect in 2026, including Central Luzon (Region III), CALABARZON (Region IV-A), Eastern Visayas (Region VIII), Northern Mindanao (Region X), and Caraga (Region XIII). Use the lookup tool above to check if your area has an upcoming wage adjustment.
22 vs 26 Working Days
The monthly wage equivalent depends on the number of working days per month. Philippine labor law does not mandate a single divisor — it depends on the employee's work schedule:
- 26 days — For 6-day workweeks (Mon–Sat). Formula: 6 days × 52 weeks ÷ 12 months. This is common for daily-paid and minimum wage workers.
- 22 days — For 5-day workweeks (Mon–Fri). Formula: 5 days × 52 weeks ÷ 12 months ≈ 21.67, rounded to 22.
Use the toggle above to switch between work schedules and see how it affects monthly pay.
Note: Always check the latest wage order from your region's RTWPB for the most accurate figures.
Legal basis: Labor Code Art. 99 (Regional Minimum Wages), Republic Act No. 6727 (Wage Rationalization Act)
Wage Distortion After a Minimum Wage Increase
When a new wage order takes effect, employees previously earning above the old minimum wage may find their pay gap reduced or eliminated. This is called wage distortion — the severe contraction of intentional pay differences between employee groups.
Under Article 124 of the Labor Code and RA 6727, employers are required to correct wage distortions caused by mandated wage increases. The NWPC Advisory No. 01 (Series of 2023) provides several recognized formulas for computing the Wage Distortion Adjustment (WDA), including the Pineda, Bagtas, and JODA formulas.
